ALENKHE HAS DEMONSTRATED COMMENDABLE LEADERSHIP AS EDO NUJ CHAIRMAN

The Chief Administrative Officer of Igbinedion University Teaching Hospital, Okada, Moses Osaretin has said that the Edo council Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Festus Alenkhe  has demonstrated exceptional skill in managing the affairs of the union since assumption of office as the council head.

He said this earlier today while reacting to the inauguration of the Federated Chapel by Alenkhe.

He expressed his deepest admiration and gratitude to the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo State Council Festus Alenkhe, for his outstanding leadership.

Osaretin, who is also the university public relation officer, revealed this in a statement today, adding that Alenkhe's exemplary record-breaking achievements since assuming office are a true testament to his remarkable leadership qualities and unwavering commitment to excellence.


According to him, "under the chairman's leadership, the NUJ Edo State Council has recorded remarkable progress in promoting press freedom, protecting journalists' rights, and improving working conditions for journalists in the state. 

He further added that, "Alenkhe's efforts in fostering greater collaboration and partnership with other relevant stakeholders have helped to advance the cause of journalism in the state,  and he has demonstrated exceptional skill in managing the affairs of the union"

Catholic Priest dumps Christianity for traditional religion after completing PhD on rainmaking

Dr Echezona Obiagbaosogu, a Catholic priest, has abandoned Christianity for African traditional religion after his PhD project. His PhD project is said to be on rainmaking in Igboland and he said the insight he gained during his research made him change the course of his spiritual pursuit. According to reports , Obiagbaosogu, who teaches African Traditional Religion at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, in Anambra State, said he was fascinated by the traditional African spirituality and the art of rainmaking. Fake palm oil is said to have entered several markets in six states of Nigeria and is still spreading into others. A few arrests, according to reports, have been made, and laboratory testing of seized samples revealed high acid content, and other substances believed to cause cancer. Market dealers and sellers have raised alarm over the fake and adulterated palm oil now selling in markets across Nigeria.
