Edo deputy Speaker congratulates newly elected Adhoc delegates

The Deputy Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. (Mrs.) Maria Omozele Oligbi-Edeko Esq has congratulated the newly elected Adhoc delegates across Edo State.

In a statement, Edeko particularly felicitated with the three elected Adhoc delegates from the various wards in Esan North-East constituency 11 & Edo State in general. Furthermore, she expressed joy for the peaceful election & the large turn out of voters. A reflection of the commitment of members of PDP.

She said" the turnout of PDP members in their large numbers is a testament that the PDP is a party that is well organized that would continue to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

" I want to use this medium to commend the National Working Committee of the party for the smooth process that has resulted in the emergence of the ward delegates," she said.

Catholic Priest dumps Christianity for traditional religion after completing PhD on rainmaking

Dr Echezona Obiagbaosogu, a Catholic priest, has abandoned Christianity for African traditional religion after his PhD project. His PhD project is said to be on rainmaking in Igboland and he said the insight he gained during his research made him change the course of his spiritual pursuit. According to reports , Obiagbaosogu, who teaches African Traditional Religion at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, in Anambra State, said he was fascinated by the traditional African spirituality and the art of rainmaking. After defending his PhD Dissertation titled “Rainmaking and Control in Igbo African Medicine,” on Wednesday, he said Africa possesses enormous resources and value which have been eroded by colonial powers. Fake palm oil is said to have entered several markets in six states of Nigeria and is still spreading into others.
