According to the statement, "I am honored to pay tribute to Comrade Festus Alenkhe JP., FSGl., mnipr, a man whose dedication, resilience, and transformative leadership have left an indelible mark on every organization he has been a part of.

"Festus Alenkhe’s journey of excellence began over two decades ago when he served as Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Edo State Chapter.
His visionary leadership and innovative approach breathed new life into the Youth Council, setting a precedent for his future endeavors.

"He then took the helm of the Nigeria Red Cross Society, Edo state branch as Chairman where his remarkable ability to turn challenges into opportunities led to the construction of a modern Events Centre in GRA Benin City with the extensive renovation of the Edo state headquarters of the Red Cross Society.

"As the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, Comrade Festus Alenkhe has continued to demonstrate his unique capability to succeed where others have failed. "His leadership has not only elevated the status of the NUJ but also created an environment that fosters growth, learning, and professional development for all journalists in Edo State.

"One of the most remarkable characteristics of Comrade Festus Alenkhe is his ability to pick up what many might consider "dead wood" and transform it into a flourishing forest. Whether it was revamping the National Youth Council of Nigeria in Edo state, the complete renovation of the Red Cross headquarters in Benin City, or the making "Crime Watch" a household name in Nigeria, his impact has been profound and lasting.

He therefore urged Edo journalists to give him their support in his bid to contest for a second tenure as the chairman of the Union.

Given his extraordinary track record and the positive changes he has brought to the NUJ, it is imperative that we continue to support Comrade Festus Alenkhe JP in his quest for another term as Chairman of the NUJ, Edo State Council.
