Declare Me Winner Okoeguale Urges NNPP Working Committee

The last may not have been heard of the Nigeria National Peoples Party (NNPP) Primary election held on the 21st of February 2024 in which Pastor Azemhen Azena was declared winner as one of the major contenders in the contest, Peter Okoeguale has asked the party's national working committee to declare him winner or Councel the Edo South election and conduct a re run. He made the statement yesterday at the Conference Hall of the Edo state Nigeria Union Of Journalists in Benin city the Edo state Capital. Edeko congratulates Edo PDP governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo

The Deputy Speaker of Edo House of Assembly Rt Hon (Mrs) Maria Omozele Oligbi-Edeko has congratulated the Winner of the PDP governorship primary election, Asue Ighodalo. Ighodalo was declared the winner of the party’s governorship primary election after he garnered 577 votes to become the candidate of the PDP in the September governorship election  In a congratulatory message, the deputy Speaker described Ighodalo as the choice of the people adding that, the conduct of the election was  transparent, free, fair and peaceful. " On behalf of the industrious people of Esan North-East constituency 11, I congratulate the winner, Asue Ighodalo. "And I commend the Gov. Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state and Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta state led election committee for the transparent way the election was conducted," she said. At noon today, the State Chairman of Labour Party, Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi was released from The Nigeria Police Force Headquarters AIG Zone 5 custody in Benin City.  The Chairman was arrested yesterday alongside with the Party National Chairman ,Julius Abure. Shortly after he was released , Comrade Kelly said the Party is very determined to conduct the party's primary election slated for tommorow February 23, adding that the arrest will not stop every arrangements that had already been put in place for a Free, fair credible and transparent primary. Comrade Kelly throwing light on his arrest, said the petition written against him alleged that he Instigated youths to assault one Anslem Eragbe who visited Benin City sometime late last year for his personal business. Asue Ighodalo Declared Winner In Edo PDP Primary

Barr Asue Ighodalo has emerged the winner in the Edo Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election to fly the Party's ticket for the governorship election scheduled to hold on the 21st of September 2024. Barr Asue Ighodalo scored a total number of 577 votes to defeat the closest rival, Philip Shuaibu, the deputy governor who scored one vote while Hon Omosede Igbinedion stepped down from the race to support Barr Asue Ighodalo. In her brief remarks before the voting commenced, Hon Omosede Igbinedion thanked her numerous supporters for the confidence reposed in her but pointed out that for the sake of fairness and equity that it was the turn of Edo Central to produce the next governor of Edo state and that as a result of that fact, she has decided to step down for Asue Ighodalo urging all her numerous supporters to join forces to work for Asue Ighodalo. Crusoe Osagie Bars Journalists From Covering Edo PDP Primary

The Special Adviser to the Edo state governor on Media Projects,  Crusoe Osagie, this morning, hijacked the accreditation process of journalists who were supposed and assigned to cover the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Primary election schedule to hold today at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin city, the Edo state capital. Journalists who were advised via a release signed and made available to the Press earlier yesterday by Tony Anenih Jnr to convene at the Marque Event Center for accreditation for the event were disappointed as they got to the accreditation Center this morning only to be told that only 10 journalists in the print and electronic media in the state were as at yesterday accredited by Crusoe.
