I Will Contest, Win Edo Governorship Election- Pastor Osagie Ize - Iyamu


A frontline aspirant for the Edo 2024 gubernatorial election, on the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Pastor Osagie Ize - Iyamu has said that he will contest for and win the Edo Governorship election, dismissing as mere rumour the news of his purported disqualification from the Edo Guber race by a screening committee 

He expressed his intention to pick the party governorship nomination and face the party primaries slated for February 17.

The leadership of the APC in Edo state recently constituted a committee chaired by the majority leader of the house of reps, prof. Julius ihonvere to prune down number of aspirants.

The committee was said to have prune the number of aspirants from 29 to 6 excluding pastor IZE Iyamu who was the party Guber candidate in the 2020 gubernatorial election in the state.

Dismissing the rumour,Pastor IZE Iyamu while addressing his teeming supporters at the Benin airport on his return trip from Abuja , dismissed the report of the panel and also announced that the National Working Committee , NWC has given clear directives that all aspirants for the governorship race are free to purchase nomination forms. 

With unwavering determination, he reassures the supporters that he is firmly in the race for the 2024 Gubernatorial election, urging his supporters not to be discouraged, for the journey ahead holds the promise of a better Edo State for all. 

"there were rumor that some people have been excluded, but by that NWC release that is not possible anymore. The only people that can exclude aspirants is the committee set up by the NWC. I want to assure you that I will contest and win the election. 

On his relationship with the National leader of the party and former governor of Edo state, Sen. Adams Oshiomhole he said, "my relationship is cordial. He is my senior brother and I respect age. We have worked together for many years. He is the leader of our party and a distinguished senator".

He expressed appreciation to his teeming supporters for standing by him. 

The APC primaries is slated for February 17 where the party will elect his party flag bearer while the expression of interest and nomination form goes for 50 million.

EDO GUBER 2024: LABOUR PARTY ASPIRANTS AGREE ON JOINT TICKETS, SETTLE FOR ERNEST ABEGBE TO LEAD THE PACK.

The Edo Labour Party Governorship Aspirants across the state have agreed to work together in a joint ticket arrangement.
