The Chief Executive Officer of Uyi Technical Ltd, Elder Francis Omoruyi Oloton, has accepted an apology from a former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Benin Branch, Ede Asenoguan, leading to the striking out of a criminal case instituted against him. At the resumed hearing of Suit No. FHC/B/121C/2025, the Police Prosecutor, P. O. Odion, informed the court that the defendant had written a letter of apology to the nominal complainant, Oloton which was accepted.  Consequently, the prosecutor applied to discontinue the case. BENIN CITY - A Federal High Court sitting in Benin and presided over by Justice B. O. Quadri has adjourned until June 29, 2026, for a report of settlement in a cyberstalking case instituted against Barr. Ede Asenoguan, a former Chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Benin Branch. The suit with No. FHC/C/117/2025, was adjourned following an oral application made by E. O. Afolabi, counsel to the nominal complainant, Omoruyi Oloton, Chief Executive Officer of Uyi Technical Ltd. The application was supported by Douglas Ogbankua Esq. and E. E. Oisamoje Esq. Dr. Enehita Inegbenehi, has warned that residents who violate environmental sanitation laws in the state will be prosecuted in accordance with existing regulations. Dr. Inegbenehi issued the warning on Saturday in Benin City after monitoring the monthly environmental sanitation exercise across parts of the metropolis.
