An astute politician, community developer and grass root mobiliser, Surveyor Stanley Egogo, Partner to Stango Survey and Consultants, Stanford Emporium Ventures Limited,  was, over the weekend, honored by His Royal Majesty, Alh. W.O. Momodu, Ojirua of Irrua Kingdom and the Okaijiesan of Esanland,   for his steadfast commitment to the general growth of Esanland.
Speaking to newsmen in Benin City after the event, the soft-spoken Surveyor said that the honor gives him the impression that his humble contributions to the growth of Esanland were being noticed by the people and His Royal Highness. " This honor gives me the understanding that my humble contributions were acknowledged  by the people and  His Royal Highness" stressing that " I am now very conscious that attention is on me"

The Surveyor who has consistently remained in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a an astute politician and a consumate Surveyor said that Edo politics has undergone complete overhaul and refinement with the entrance of Mr. Godwin Obaseki into the Edo mainstream politics. According to him," Edo politics has undergone refinement process with the entrance of Mr. Godwin Obaseki into Edo mainstream politics particularly with the abolishment of godfatherism". Still speaking, he said what it means now is that any popular candidate can now win elections as opposed to the past when it was the godfather who decides who becomes what. He said he is very popular as a grass mobilizer in Edo politics stressing that he won the primaries under the Peoples Democratic Party in 2013 for the chairmanship  position of Esan Central Local Government Council  but was disenfranchised and  shortchanged by godfathers.

He observed that the root course of underdevelopment at the grassroots was due to people without clear-cut objectives or plans of action of development for the grassroots but simply angling for the position because of the gains of the office.

He said he would make himself available if his people call on him to serve. He pointed out that as a grassroot mobiliser that he already knows the peculiar needs of his people and that he has his objectives and plans of action for the developmental needs of his people. He said when Obaseki was campaigning for his second tenure that the governor met the people to find out what and what they  needed and according to him, that the governor took notes of their peculiar needs with a view to satisfying those various needs. He observed that development would be achievable if people with clear-cut developmental objectives were voted into offices.

High Chief Francis Inegbeniki, a high profile politician and Chairman, CEO, Ine conglomerate, has said that he has not rescinded his decision to resign from the All Progressives Congress (APC). The Edo Labour Party Governorship Aspirants across the state have agreed to work together in a joint ticket arrangement.
