The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki today swears in the newly appointed 13 Permanent Secretaries and charged them to be diligent in their duties. He disclosed that all the Permanent Secretaries deserved their appointments as they are all qualified for the positions.

He further said that gone were the days when appointments were made through god fathers without proper screening of candidates, adding that this period, due process were followed as they all went through test and they came out based on merit. He said therefore, he has no doubt that they will deliver in their duties.

He said the state government were building the entire structures of the Civil Service, adding that that was the reason we now have 24 hrs electricity supply at the secretariate and other government establishments so that work  could go on in a very conducive environment.
