Edo 2023: Tinubu begs Nigerians to vote out APC- Ogbaloi

 The Edo State Labour Party Chairman, Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi, has said that the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Alhmed Tinubu has appealed to Nigerians to help  vote out his political  party in the coming general elections.

He made the disclosure in an interactive session with the press yesterday  in his office in Benin city, the Edo state capital.

According to Igbaloi,

"the owners of the All Progressives Congress (APC)  are already telling us that they are not capable of winning the election by the declarations of Tinubu in one of his recent outing where  he  clearly begged  Nigerians to Vote out  the APC  because according to him, it is not a party to be voted for. According to Tinubu, the performance of APC is not what can be accepted by this country, and  any attempt to bring them back to this country will cause greater damage to the country Nigeria and as such that the electorate should endeavour to vote the party out.

He further added that,

 "Labour party is coming on board and there will be no space for APC or for the PDP. Tinubu by himself has said that Nigerians should  vote out  the APC because, according to him, they have failed Nigeria and Nigerians and as a matter of fact that is what will happen and Labour Party is coming on board to right all the wrongs and do a major overhaul and fix all the damages done by APC and put the country back on a path of sustainable growth  in prosperity for all Nigerians.

He said that the country has been renderd uncomfortable by the APC misrule.

"Nigeria is  now very uncomfortable for humans to live in,we cueue  up for fuel, we cueue  up to take our PVC and to the extent we cueue up to take our own money from the bank. What you don't cueue up for in Nigeria does not exist. Thank God that Nigerians are begining to realize the costly mistake of  electing a candidate from the  APC and the same APC presidential candidate has recently told Nigerian electorate to vote out his Party, the APC.

"Just go out in the street and take a look at peoples faces and you see dispaire, frustration, anger and hunger is what you see everywhere. Elections is just some few days time and you can't  have fuel to buy anywhere, you can't take your money from your bank, people are unable  to take their voters cards from INEC officials and so many other  confusion inside election month. All these should teach us a lesson not to vote the APC or the Peoples Democratic Party( PDP) as they do not mean well for the country.

"Collection of PVC which ought to be seamless has been bedeviled by compromises either from the people or even from some  INEC staff itself. I heard of a situation where an INEC staff was practically asking collectors of PVC  for money before they can get their PVCs.

I want to believe that there is some collaboration between some INEC staff and some people to scuttle the process in order to achieve their selfish aim.

On the issue of currency redesigne, Comrade Ogbaloi said that it was a central Bank monetary policy that is supposed to be carried out every six years but that unfortunately, the APC is clearly not capable of giving clear leadership on many national issues. 

"Redesigning of currency should not have been a bad idea in the first instance because in a regulated society, redesigning of currency is a monetary policy that should happen every six years or there about. In the Nigerian instance, redesigning of the Naira had not been done for the past  20 years now. So at what time   did the Central Bank suddenly woke up with the idea of currency redesign in the midst of election. I think there is something the CBN is yet to tell us because we are in a terrible country. In one way, you would think they want to do their job and in another way, you will discover that they are doing the job wrongly because there are some individuals in the society they intend to hurt either because these people are no longer agreeing with them or that there is something thay want to achieve which they are not telling us. To me redesigning of the Naira is coming at a  wrong time because it is affecting the society they meant to serve and the individuals they meant to hurt.

On the protracted crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Comrade Ogbaloi has this to say, "Our view is that we would have wished that the other political parties in the contest in the coming general elections are  healthy to sufficiently engage in the contest because that way, our winning becomes worthwhile but a winning in a contest with a weak and sickly political opponents like the APC and PDP isnt what we have envisaged and as such we are praying they recover fast from their self inflicted  problems so that our winning will come with full value.

" What kind of leadership would  the PDP for instant have  provided for the country when it could not even resolve its internal problem. That is a clear pointer that such presidential candidate is not fit to lead a great country like Nigeria when he could not even resolve its internal political misunderstanding.

Comrade Ogbaloi urged the people to go and collect their PVCs as it was  the power to change the current bad leadership of the country.

" I just want to beg our people to take advantage of the extension of the collection of the PVC to go out there and make sure they  collect their  voters card because that is the power in our hand to make a change, he concluded.
