PDP Has Perfected Plans To Cause Chaos In LP Strongholds- Ogbaloi

The Edo State Labour Party Chairman, Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi   has raised the alarm over plans  by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to creat chaos in  Labour party strongholds with the aim of cancelling the votes in those units.

Ogbaloi, made the allegation shortly after meeting with the state executive members of the party in Benin City earlier today at the party secretariat in Benin City, the Edo state capital.

He said the disaffection will be so much that it could lead to a fight between the two political parties supporters at the polling units and this by implication compel the Independent National Electoral Commissioner to call for the cancelations of these units

"We also discussed matters of the opposition parties who have been on our heels, especially in the period now when it is discovered that they have all been at the receiving end.

"It has been clearly analyzed by the experts within our society that come on Saturday, Labour Party will be coasting home to winning in all that we have put into this elections.

"It is view that Labour Party is the only party to be beaten because all these political parties, the PDP and the APC have personally inflicted themselves with severe injuries which case, they are not likely to fully recover before the elections are over.

"So, it is towards this end we want to put this on record before the press that information reaching us which are clearly coming from sources that are undisputed is that the PDP has design a process of causing chaos in the next elections.

"And how they are to do this is to see it that where there are indications that Labour Party is winning in any of the polling stations, they shall cause a cosmetic disagreement that can climax into anarchy, therefore INEC will have no option than to cancel the election in those units.

Agbaloi said while they are calling on their party supporters to remain calm despite the provocation by the opposition party, they are also calling on the security agencies to swing into action by nipping the situation at its bud.

"So, we are calling on our teeming supporters to be level headed as we go into the polls on Saturday.

"You may be provoked but slow to anger because we must win this elections.

"We are also using this medium to inform the law enforcement agencies that this information is very ripe.

"They mean to do it, so the law enforcement agencies should take firm notice of this and ensure that we are protected as a party and ensure that miscreants are kept away from the voting arena.

"And ensure that those who are planning this are arrested and kept behind the bars now, during the elections and after the elections", Agbaloi said.

Reacting to the allegation, Commissioner of Communication and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare said the allegation is baseless, adding that the Labour Party  always want to be on the news to draw sympathy from the public.
