FESTUS ALENKHE FELICITATES WITH NIGERIANS, EDO PEOPLE ON THE OCCASION OF EASTER




The chairman of the Nigeria Union Of Journalists , Edo state council , Comrade Festus Alenkhe, has sent a message of felicitation to the people of Edo state in particular and Nigerians in general, especially Journalists, in commemoration of the death and resurection of Jesus Christ which the celebration of Easter represents.

In a statement signed and made available to newsmen in Benin city, the Edo state capital, today, comrade Festus Alenkhe congratulated the people of Edo state for witnessing  another Easter and pray God to take us to 2024 Easter and many Easter celebrations in the nearest future .

According to the statement " Let me join the good people of Edo state to congratulate everyone in  the state and to thank God for making us to witness 2023 Easter celebration. 

"It is my wish that the risen Lord will continue to protect His children in peace and love as we look forward to a new  Government in Nigeria on 29th May, 2023, l pray God to use the incoming leadership to better the lots of Nigerians and reduce the sufferings the people are currently passing through . 

"Let us emulate the footsteps of Christ and refrain from any evil that could plung the nation to  avoidable unrest. 

The statement also congratulated Edo state Governor , Godwin Obaseki and the Oba of Benin on Easter . 
He also reminded journalists to always consider God first while performing their duties and stressed the need for balance reportage and verification of news items before making it public in line with the ethics of the  journalism profession .

High Chief Francis Inegbeniki, a high profile politician and Chairman, CEO, Ine conglomerate, has said that he has not rescinded his decision to resign from the All Progressives Congress (APC). EDO GUBER 2024: LABOUR PARTY ASPIRANTS AGREE ON JOINT TICKETS, SETTLE FOR ERNEST ABEGBE TO LEAD THE PACK.

The Edo Labour Party Governorship Aspirants across the state have agreed to work together in a joint ticket arrangement.
