Re-Run Election In Oredo Marred By Irregularities -Engr. P.I.Idahosa








The Candidate of the Edo State House Of Assembly re-run election held in April 15th 2023 , Engineer P.I. Idahosa has said that the Re-run election was flawed by irregularities.


According to Engr Idahosa, the mandate freely given to him by the people of Oredo East Constituency in the March 18th election was declared inconclusive.

This was contained in a statement signed and made available to the Press.

According to him,  "my good people of Oredo East constituency, I sincerely thank you all for your support and commitment towards ensuring that the mandate freely given to me by you  on 18 march 2023  that was declared inconclusive, was again attempted to be reechoed through the just concluded supplimentary Election held on the 15th  April 2023. 

"It is on record that the supplimentary election was mared with irregularities with voters manipulation and intimidation, which was made possible in connivance with the so-called security agencies, INEC officials, and with hired celebrated thugs having a field day at the various polling units.

" I also want to thank those who put their lives online in the face of intimidation, harassment and brutality. I sympathize with those who sustain various degree of injuries in an attempt to resist the PDP hired thugs.

 "W shall soon meet with them after a comprehensive evaluation of victims have been carried out. Furthermore, we are studying the outcome of the supplimentary election, which also confirmed our victory irrespective of their manipulations. 

"Before the election was earlier declared inconclusive, the Labour Party was leading with a clear margin. We shall be communicating our next line of action soon. 

"I thank you all once again. Let us remain steadfast, committed to our course for the God Almighty is with us. Long live Oredo East Constituency, long live Edo State, long live Labour Party.  Forward Ever, Backward Never. Oba ghator okperre. Isee. I remain, your humble servant Engr. P.I. Omo-Idahosa", the statement concluded.
