Take Edo State Back With Dorry Okojie - Group Urges Edo People

An Edo sociocultural organisation, "Nagba  Dolo Edo" has called on Edo people to come together to take Edo State back from the politicians who have held the state hostage and impoverished the people since its creation as the Edo governorship election approaches. 

In a statement signed by the Coordinator of the group, Noruwa Edobor and made available to newsmen in Benin City, called on Edo people to join the call on Dr. Dorry Afe Efosa Okojie to join the Edo State 2024 governorship race to rescue the state from what they called the locust that have ravaged the people's common wealth since the inception of the present democratic dispensation in 1999. 

According to the statement, "We the members of 'Nagba Dolo Edo', with members across the three Senatorial Districts of Edo State wish to register our displeasure with the gatherings and schemings of some Edo politicians masquerading as political godfathers, criss crossing the state canvassing support to install their puppet as Edo State Governor through the Edo State Governorship election due in 2024.

"These are politicians Edo people assisted to dethrone godfathers in the past, but now want to enthrone themselves as godfathers, even when the ones they imposed on us in the past have turned thorns in our flesh. 

"We reject these politicians and urge Edo people to reject them and the candidates they're sponsoring for Edo governorship election in 2024.

"We call on Edo people to join the call on our son, Dr. Dorry Afe Efosa Okojie to contest the 2024 Edo State governorship election and lead us to take Edo State back from the professional politicians who have been pillaging our common wealth from gaining access to power in Edo State in 2024".

The Edo Labour Party Governorship Aspirants across the state have agreed to work together in a joint ticket arrangement.
