Why Edo Central Is Presenting Dorry Okojie••••he is the best

The   principle premised on power rotation in a multi ethnic groups such as   Edo State  is fundamentally understandable and desirable.

It helps not only  to ensure equity and fairness but also  to mitigate  lopsidedness of power sharing and  serves to guarantee  equitable distribution of elective offices and socio-  economic and other  democratic dividends.

To foster peaceful coexistence among the three senatorial districts of the  State, there has been an existing understanding of an unwritten agreement of power sharing so as to give each district a sense of belonging. 

Already, there has been a growing consensus embedded in the consciousness of the larger Edo populace  of the need of the  next governor of Edo State to come  from Edo Central senatorial district since Edo North completed an eight years tenure during the administration of Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomhole, while Edo South would complete its eight years tenure at the expiration of the present administration of Mr Godwin Obaseki to ensure equity and fair play. Add this to Lucky Igbinedion's 8 years and that gives you 16 years.

However, there is another form of injustice called collective guilt that seeks to tarnish the image of the whole district for the sin of one . What this simply means is that if for instance,  a district presents  an incompetent individual as governor and consequently unable to develop the state, the blame goes, not only to the individual governor, but also the district shares from the shame and dishonor.

It is in  this realization that  Edo Central  is  presenting  its  best.

He is  Dr Dorry Okojie, an honest, competent and willing to serve individual in the mould of Professor Ambrose Folorunsho Alli .

The  pursuit of  good governance for the good of the entire state is his motivation.

This is imperative because  equity and fairness  demand  that  each region or senatorial district in turn  presents  its best who has the willingness and the competence for capacity building and for the overall  development of the entire State. 

What is needed now is one  who will add value and growth continuity to already existing developmental template in Edo State

 This man, your man, our man, is Dr Dorry Okojie.

 Dr Dorry Afe Okojie, is a gift from Edo Central  and a symbol of Unity and progress for our dear Edo  state. 

He has affirmed his unflinching resolve  to redefine scope of governance through purposeful people centric leadership.

 Lets us therefore support Dr Dorry Okojie to rebuild and rebrand Edo state.
