FIGHT CANCER GLOBAL EMPOWERS COMMUNITY CLINICS




Fight Cancer Global, an international donor agency, in collaboration with Oke Creative Future Foundation, yesterday, donated hospital equipment to some PHCS in Benin city the Edo state Capital.

The program which attracted people from all walks of life saw in attendance health care workers and Edo state officials of the ministry of health.

Speaking at the event, the CEO and Co-ordinator of Oke Creative Future Foundation , a Cancer Awareness Education and Support foundation, Evang. (Surv)  Okeoghene Letter, said that Oke Creative Future Foundation started very little way back in 2017 when the organisation had its inauguration program 
  He appreciatesd everyone that made time out of their busy schedule to attend the event.

  He Said he was moved to initiate the foundation because he lost a very close and dear person to cancer and that he was motivated by that singular incident to fight cancer until a permanent solution is found for the scourge.

 He said that the death of that person was the spark that initiated and still inviorating his resolve to put an end to Cancer 

 According to him, " the fight against cancer is a war I have resolved to fight irrevocably even though I am not a doctor nor a medical personnel but committed to make sure people no longer die as a result of cancer

 He said that his organisation is touching so many lives in the state in particular and in Nigeria in general through cancer awareness Education support 


He said his organisation has been partnering and collaborating with FIGHT CANCER GLOBAL an international donor agency for the past four years now 

Speaking on behalf of the Chief Executive officer of FIGHT CANCER GLOBAL, VJ  Kondur he said , "today we are filled with immense joy and pride for the people of Benin city as it is a remarkable milestone, a small step that holds the potential to usher in significant change and transformation in your beloved city.

"As we are gathered here today, we are reminded of the power that resides in us when we are gathered together for a common purpose and together we have the power to make a lasting impact in the lives of our fellow mankind.

"We are distributing at today's event, much needed medical supplies to our communities which serves as a testimony of our resolve to empowering the people of Benin city. Let me remind you that this is just the beginning.

"Change begins when we work in harmony, when we join hands and focus on a collective vision. There is no limit to what we can achieve but let me assure you that you are not alone in this journey

"Today we take the first step towards sustainability and transformation in your city but it is just the beginning 

Speaking with the Press at the event, Dr Eseigbe Efeomo, the Deputy Director of Disease Control and Immunization, Edo state Primary Health Care Development Agency, said that what was happening today is that we experience the benevolence of the donations of health care supplies by an international donor agency, Fight Cancer Global, through Oke Creative Future Foundation and it is a welcome development as these equipment are highly needed in our facilities. 

" For us to be able to attend to our patients,we need a well equipped health care centers and I must say that this gesture is highly appreciated and would be put to effective use.

" We look forward to more fruitful collaborations between 
Oke Creative Future Foundation and Fight Cancer Global and we appreciate you for this.

Speaking also at the occasion, Pharmacist Eraga Valentine, Deputy Director, Essential Drugs Department said that the occasion was very successful and a welcome development as Oke Creative Future Foundation through Fight Cancer Global, has brought some beds and other hospital equipment to be distributed to our PHCs adding that they are indeed grateful to the foundation assuring that the materials would be put to good use.

The high point of the occasion was the distribution of the donated hospital equipment to the various recipients by the management of Oke Creative Future Foundation.
