EDO @ 32: DEPUTY SPEAKER, EDEKO CONGRATULATES OBASEKI, EDO PEOPLE

The Edo State House of Assembly Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. (Mrs.) Maria Omozele Oligbi-Edeko Esq, (Representing the illustrious people of Esan North-East Constituency II), on Monday congratulated Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki and the People of Edo State on the 32nd anniversary of the creation of Edo State from the defunct Bendel State.

Commending the Governor for his transformative projects, Edeko noted that, the Make Edo Great Again, MEGA agenda of the governor has put the State on the threshold of sectoral & institutional transformation; technological innovations, Education, Sports, Agriculture, Social welfare, Justice and women inclusiveness in governance in the State.

Edeko, while eulogizing the developmental strides the state has recorded in the past 32 years, thanked all well-meaning Edo people, present and past leaders who have contributed in one way or the other to make Edo the envy of other states in Nigeria.

She said "I congratulate the Governor and the people of Edo State on this auspicious occasion of the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of the creation of our dear state from the defunct Bendel state and the 60th anniversary of the Midwest Referendum,".

According to the Deputy Speaker, as we celebrate, I enjoin all stakeholders irrespective of political affiliation to unite and be committed to the glory of a New Edo. We should all be committed and resolute to sustain the fundamental & basic transformation that has taken place in Edo State under the leadership of His Excellency, Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki as this is the Road map to a Transformed Edo." she said.

EDO GUBER 2024: LABOUR PARTY ASPIRANTS AGREE ON JOINT TICKETS, SETTLE FOR ERNEST ABEGBE TO LEAD THE PACK.

The Edo Labour Party Governorship Aspirants across the state have agreed to work together in a joint ticket arrangement.
