EDO LABOUR PARTY SENSITIZING ASPIRANTS... today's attendance, begining of screening

The Edo Labour Party Chairman, Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi has said that the attendance of aspirants in yesterday's sensitization meeting held at the party's secretariat was the begining of the screening of its aspirants. 

He made the declaration at the party secretariat while fielding questions from journalists . 

According to Comrade Ogbalio, he said that there was need to have a close interactions with the party aspirants as the number of people signifying their intentions to run for the governorship contest under Labour Party was getting large. 

"Today, we had a close interactions with our aspirants because as you can see the number of aspirants who have signified their interest to contest the governorship election on Labour Party platform is getting large and we thought it wise to bring them all under one fold to interact and share with them once again the principles of the party and to appreciate them for the way they have conducted themselves so far in the public dormain

" I can tell you that the turn out was impressive. Even when some of them could not turn up personally, they sent representatives which means they were indisposed but were fully represented and I can assure you that the attendance of aspirants in yesterday's sensitization meeting held at the party's secretariat was the begining of screening of our aspirants. 

On the remarks by the former governor of Edo state now senator representing Edo North at the upper chamber, the former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC) Senator Adams Oshiomhole that APC is not a rehabilitation center for distressed politicians, Ogbaloi said that the Labour Party is open for all decent and honest Nigerians. 

"If the deputy governor is interested in coming to pursue his ambition under the platform of the Labour Party, he would be coming as an ordinary citizen like every other person but not as a deputy governor, if he is coming as an aspirant, why not? 

"I want to reiterate firmly that our duly recognized aspirants for the Edo 2024 governorship polls honoured our invitation and attended the meeting and those of them that were indisposed sent their representatives and if there is anyone who is still day-dreaming and decided not to come or be represented, is simply deceiving him/ herself as today's meeting is the begining of our screening and those who were here have started their screening, that is what it means and whoever that was not here was not screened and that is it".

EDO GUBER 2024: LABOUR PARTY ASPIRANTS AGREE ON JOINT TICKETS, SETTLE FOR ERNEST ABEGBE TO LEAD THE PACK.

The Edo Labour Party Governorship Aspirants across the state have agreed to work together in a joint ticket arrangement. The joint ticket which will be led by Mr Ernest Abegbe ahead of the party primary come 22nd February 2024, will have other aspirants synchronizing to win the election and forming a government with the diverse competences of all the joint ticket aspirants.  The aspirants are Ernest Abegbe, Dr. Aruna Braimoh Denzel, Bar Ihueghian Guobadia, Oseretin Ighile, Engr.
