IKPOBA HILL YOUTHS APPLAUD EDO STATE GOVERNMENT

 

The youths of Ikpoba Hill under the umbrella of Ikpoba Hill Youths Association have sent a message of appreciation to the Edo State governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo for quickly addressing the problem of the chaotic traffic gridlock at the Ramat Park axis of the Benin City metropolis due to the flyover under construction. 

Recall that on June 12 2025, Ikpoba Hill Youths sent an SOS message to the governor appealing for urgent intervention on the incessant traffic logjam at the Ramat Park area of the city as a result of the construction of the flyover going on in the area. 

According to a press release issued, signed by the Chairman of the group, Kingsley Osemwegie, and made available to the press earlier today in Benin City, the Edo State capital, they applauded the governor for being truly a listening governor who places the interest and welfare of his people above every other considerations. 

"Your Excellency Sir, we want to use this opportunity to thank you for your kind intervention by expeditingly remedying the traumatic traffic gridlock which has put so much toll on Ikpoba Hill people who ply the road daily. 

"Your swift and timely intervention without delay in fixing the alternative passage has demonstrated that your government is indeed a government for the people, a government which places high premium on the welfare of the people above every other considerations.

"On behalf of all the youths and the entire residents of Ikpoba Hill people, I commend your giants developmental strides and pledge our unalloyed support for your administration which promises an all round development for the good people of Ikpoba Hill in particular and Edo State people in general.

"Thank you immensely your Excellency Sir, for your unflinching resolve and passion to develop our dear state and we pray that the good Lord will continue to guide you with good health and the wisdom to pilot the affairs of our state" the statement concluded.

Catholic Priest dumps Christianity for traditional religion after completing PhD on rainmaking

Dr Echezona Obiagbaosogu, a Catholic priest, has abandoned Christianity for African traditional religion after his PhD project. His PhD project is said to be on rainmaking in Igboland and he said the insight he gained during his research made him change the course of his spiritual pursuit. According to reports , Obiagbaosogu, who teaches African Traditional Religion at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, in Anambra State, said he was fascinated by the traditional African spirituality and the art of rainmaking.
