The Onojie of Ewu, His Royal Highness, Jafaru Isesele I, has congratulated the newly appointed substantive Vice-Chancellor of the Edo State owned Ambrose Alli University, Prof. (Mrs.) Eunice Eboserehimen Omonzejie, by the state Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo and thanked the Governor for the appointment. 

In a congratulatory message to Prof. Omonzejie which was personally signed by the Onojie of Ewu, the Royal father described the appointment as a recognition of the outstanding academic achievements and exceptional leadership qualities of Prof. Omonzejie and her unwavering commitment to excellence in her chosen career. 


According to the statement which was made available to newsmen in Benin City, "We extend our warmest congratulations to you, Prof. (Mrs.) Eunice Eboserehimen Omonzejie on your appointment as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of the Edo State owned Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, by Edo State Governor, Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo. 

"This appointment is a fitting recognition of your outstanding academic achievements, exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to excellence in your chosen career. 

"We have every confidence that your vision, expertise and passion for learning will inspire and guide you in ensuring that the vision of late Prof. Ambrose Alli in establishing the university is kept alive and the institution taken to greater heights. 

"Your tenure will undoubtedly shape the minds of future generations, fostering a culture of innovation, critical thinking and intellectual curiosity. I wish you success, wisdom, and divine guidance as you embark on this noble endeavour."

While thanking Governor Okpebholo, the Ewu monarch noted that the appointment is a demonstration of his love for Ewu people where the erudite scholar hails from and prayed for God's guidance and wisdom for the Governor and his administration. 


"We wish to express our profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Edo State, Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo, for this appointment. This appointment of our illustrious daughter by the Governor is not only a celebration of merit, but a practical demonstration of his love for Ewu Kingdom and its people.

Catholic Priest dumps Christianity for traditional religion after completing PhD on rainmaking

Dr Echezona Obiagbaosogu, a Catholic priest, has abandoned Christianity for African traditional religion after his PhD project. His PhD project is said to be on rainmaking in Igboland and he said the insight he gained during his research made him change the course of his spiritual pursuit. According to reports , Obiagbaosogu, who teaches African Traditional Religion at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, in Anambra State, said he was fascinated by the traditional African spirituality and the art of rainmaking. Fake palm oil is said to have entered several markets in six states of Nigeria and is still spreading into others.
