Biglex Homes Pays Courtesy Visit to Edo Chief Judge, Pledges Stronger Community Engagement


The management of Biglex Homes Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to ethical real estate practices and corporate social responsibility during a courtesy visit to the Chief Judge of Edo State, Justice Daniel Iyobosa Okungbowa.


The visit, which took place in Benin City, was led by the company’s Managing Director, Mr. Paul Akarue, alongside senior team members including Mr. Eke Michael. 


According to a statement issued by the company, the delegation sought to formally introduce its operations within the state and to obtain the Chief Judge’s support and guidance.


Mr. Akarue explained that the engagement was part of the company’s broader strategy to strengthen institutional relationships while promoting transparency and professionalism in the real estate sector. 

He noted that Biglex Homes Limited, duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, aims to distinguish itself through strict adherence to ethical standards and sustained investment in community-focused initiatives.


He further highlighted proposed areas of collaboration with the judiciary, including specialized real estate education programmes for court personnel. These would cover property law, documentation processes, and investment fundamentals at subsidised rates. Additional initiatives discussed include legal awareness workshops on property rights, land etc

Catholic Priest dumps Christianity for traditional religion after completing PhD on rainmaking

Dr Echezona Obiagbaosogu, a Catholic priest, has abandoned Christianity for African traditional religion after his PhD project. His PhD project is said to be on rainmaking in Igboland and he said the insight he gained during his research made him change the course of his spiritual pursuit. According to reports , Obiagbaosogu, who teaches African Traditional Religion at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, in Anambra State, said he was fascinated by the traditional African spirituality and the art of rainmaking. Authenticate Your Property With Relevant Documents Elder Council Of Amagba Urged Property Owners

The Elder’s Council of Amagba Community in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State on Monday, 9th of March, 2026 requested property owners to meet the property verification and authentication committee with their relevant documents to establish the authenticity of their claims. This was stated in a press statement signed by Omoregbe Osunde and Nosakhare Igbinidu, Chairman and Secretary respectively of the Amagba Community Land Verification Committee. The Committee said that this become important due to the incessant complaints by property owners in Amagba Village of encroachments and re-allocation of their properties. The statement further urged the property owners to meet with the committee at the Amagba Community Town Hall, Monday to Friday between the hours of 10.00am to 5.00pm daily.
