SENATOR JOE OGIAGBE IKPEA: A PARAGON OF OUR TIME AND A PRIDE TO ESANLAND*

_By Professor Charles Oyakhilome Amadin, Public Affairs Analyst_

Hon. Senator Joe Ogiagbe Ikpea is a man of different parts of excellence. He is not one-dimensional. In him you find wisdom, humility, service, and vision. That is why he stands today as *a paragon of our time, and a pride to Esanland.*

His name speaks volume in all towns and villages in Esanland. When you mention Senator Joe Ikpea, doors open. When you mention Senator Joe Ikpea, people listen. Because his conduct and his work have gone ahead of him.

This is a leader who does not shout, but his results speak. A leader who does not divide, but unites. A leader who does not forget home, but carries home along.

Today, his name is very loud and open doors in ten towns and villages across Edo Central:

1. *Uromi* – the heart of Esanland, where his commitment to unity has brought calm and collaboration among stakeholders.
2. *Ekpoma* – home of our university, where his support for education and youth development is felt.
3. *Irrua* – where his attention to health and community welfare has been acknowledged.
4. *Igueben* – where he has promoted dialogue and inclusion among political and traditional leaders.
5. *Ubiaja* – where his message of progress and stability resonates strongly.
6. *Ewu* – where his efforts at empowerment have touched families and groups.
7. *Ewoessa* – where his name is mentioned with respect for fairness and balance.
8. *Illushi* – a riverine community that now feels carried along in the conversations of development.
9. *Okehsan* – where his open-door approach has given the people confidence that they are represented.
10. *Ewatto* – his own town, where he has remained grounded, accessible, and committed to home.

From these places and beyond, one thing is clear: Senator Ikpea has come to change the narration.

*What he has done so far:*
- *Promoting Unity*: He came to touch all aspects of reformation by promoting unity in Esanland. Town unions, youth groups, and leaders now sit at the same table.
- *People-Centered Representation*: He listens first. His office has become a place where ordinary people can come with their needs and be heard.
- *Support for Youths and Women*: Through empowerment programs and direct support, many young people and women have received help to start businesses and skills.
- *Working with the State*: He has been a strong supporter of the Governor, because good collaboration between federal and state brings more projects to our people.
- *Dignity in Leadership*: He is very unassuming. A promise keeper. A man of viable thinking. A model. He leads by example.

Senator Joe Ikpea has reminded us that politics can be about service. That representation can be about trust. That leadership can be about bringing people together instead of pulling them apart.

That is why he is called the people’s choice, the people’s love, the people’s trust. That is why he is regarded as a senator that is trustworthy.

Esanland is watching. Esanland is proud. And Esanland is moving forward.

With leaders like Senator Joe Ogiagbe Ikpea, the future is not in doubt.
*Esanland will be better than yesterday.*
*Edo Central is a pride to the state.*
