66th Independence Anniversary: Osemwingie Celebrates Nigerians, Calls for Unity and Renewed Patriotism

‎The Chairman of the Ikpoba Hill Youths Forum, Comrade Kingsley Osemwingie, has congratulated the people of Ikpoba Hill, Edo State and Nigerians across the country on the occasion of Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.

‎
‎Osemwingie, in a goodwill message marking the anniversary, described the occasion as an important moment for Nigerians to reflect on the nation’s journey since independence, acknowledge the progress recorded and renew their commitment to building a stronger and more prosperous country.
‎
‎He said the anniversary should go beyond celebration, stressing that it provides an opportunity for citizens to reflect on the sacrifices of the nation’s founding fathers and the responsibilities of the present generation to safeguard Nigeria’s unity, peace and democratic values.
‎
‎According to him, Nigeria has made significant progress despite the challenges encountered over the years, noting that the resilience, creativity and determination of Nigerians remain important assets in the nation’s quest for sustainable development.
‎
‎He urged Nigerians, particularly youths, to remain patriotic, peaceful and committed to the growth of their communities and the country at large.
‎
‎The Ikpoba Hill youths leader also called for greater cooperation among citizens, political leaders, traditional institutions, community organisations and other stakeholders, saying that collective responsibility remains essential to addressing the challenges confronting the nation.
‎
‎Osemwingie expressed optimism that Nigeria would continue to overcome its challenges and achieve greater economic growth, improved infrastructure, enhanced security and better opportunities for its citizens.
‎
‎He further encouraged the people of Ikpoba Hill and Edo State to support initiatives of the Edo state governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo  aimed at promoting peace, development and good governance, while urging the youths to take advantage of legitimate opportunities to contribute positively to society.
‎
‎He wished Nigerians a peaceful and memorable 66th Independence Anniversary, praying for continued unity, stability and prosperity across the country.
‎
‎“May our great nation continue to grow stronger, and may the sacrifices and contributions of Nigerians today help build a better Nigeria for generations yet unborn,” he said.
