‎The Energy and Maritime Reporters of Nigeria (EMR) has announced its partnership with the forthcoming Port Harcourt Tourism Conference ‘Special’ 2026, scheduled to hold from November 17 to 22, 2026 at the NUJ Complex, Rivers State Council, Port Harcourt, with the theme: “Promoting Nigeria's Vast Tourism Opportunities, Exposing Untapped And Hidden Tourism Potentials”.
‎
‎
‎In a statement signed and made available to the press by the National Secretary, Saviour Ekpe, Ph.D, the six-day conference, organised by Encyclopedia Nigeria Limited in collaboration with its partners, is expected to bring together tourism experts, investors, government representatives, hospitality operators, aviation industry stakeholders, tourism organisations, media professionals and other key players in the sector.

‎Speaking on the partnership, the organiser of the conference and Lagos State Chairman of the Energy and Maritime Reporters of Nigeria, Princess Happiness Aduku said the event was designed as a major platform for promoting Nigeria's vast tourism opportunities while creating avenues for investment, networking and strategic partnerships.
‎
‎Princess Aduku called on members of EMR to give the conference wider publicity and participate actively in the programme, stressing that the event is all-encompassing and relevant to stakeholders across the tourism and hospitality value chain. She particularly encouraged hotels, resorts, tourism operators, investors, advertisers, government agencies, hospitality businesses, vendors and other tourism stakeholders to attend and take advantage of the opportunities provided by the conference.
‎
‎Also speaking, the National Chairman of the Energy and Maritime Reporters of Nigeria, Comrade Martins Giadom, commended Princess Aduku and the organisers for putting together the conference, noting that the organisers, who are based in Lagos, had found a fitting platform in Port Harcourt for the event.
‎
‎Giadom said the conference would provide an opportunity to further showcase the tourism and investment potentials of the Niger Delta and Nigeria as a whole. He assured the organisers that EMR would do everything within its capacity to provide the necessary publicity and media support for the conference through its members and various communication platforms. The National Chairman also called on members of the public and stakeholders in the tourism subsector to register for the conference and take advantage of the exhibition opportunities available to participants.
‎
‎According to him, the conference is aimed at empowering players across the tourism sector, promoting investment and business opportunities, encouraging networking and facilitating partnerships that can contribute to the growth of Nigeria's tourism and hospitality industry.
‎The programme will feature a conference, runway fashion show, tourism exhibitions, roundtable and panel discussions, networking activities and a hospitality industry forum, among other activities. The Energy and Maritime Reporters of Nigeria therefore encourages its members, tourism correspondents, media professionals and other stakeholders to support the conference through wider publicity and active participation.
